NHS 111 is a new service being introduced to make it easier for you to access local NHS healthcare services when you need medical help quickly. The service is open for 24 hours a day, every day and is free to call from both landlines and mobiles. You should call 111 if:
-
It's not a 999 emergency
-
You think you need to go to A&E
-
You don't think you can wait for an appointment with your GP
-
You don't know who to call for medical help
If you have difficulties communicating or hearing, you can use the NHS 111 service through a textphone by calling 18001 111.
