Coroners must conduct an investigation into a person's death if the deceased died a violent or unatural death, or the cause of death is unknown, or the deceased died while in custody or otherwise in state detention, (which does not include people made subject to a Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding Authority).

The Coroner's Court and office are situated on the 2nd Floor of Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon CR0 1QQ.

Given prior notice, limited parking for disabled people may be available below the court.
