DPACT is a user-led Community Interest Company. Everyone associated with the company is, or has been at some time, a disabled parent or carer. 

This means we understand many of the issues faced by disabled people, and their families, during their lives.

Who does DPACT support?

DPACT supports disabled parents and carers plus families where disability has a significant impact.

We will also assits disabled people to access disability-related benefits, guiding you through the application, assessments, and appeals process. 

What does DPACT do?
DPACT provides: 

  • Clear, impartial advice/information
  • Support to explore and understand the options available to individuals so that they can make informed choices about how to progress their situation
  • Ongoing support from a telephone befriender
  • Support to write letters or fill in forms including PIP, ESA, and DLA for children
  • Face-to-face advocacy support where required
  • If we cannot help a disabled person who contacts us we will do our best to put them in touch with someone who can! If this is the case we guarantee not to leave you until your issue is resolved.

If there is a problem with either a persons physical or mental health this can affect their day to day lives and may mean that they are entitled to benefits as a result and further medical support.
